Pediatrician & Medical Director
Dr. George Vermenton is a board-certified pediatrician based in New York City and serves as the Medical Director of Vermenton Pediatrics. He is a proud member of the Dominican Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics, committed to promoting child health with cultural sensitivity and clinical excellence.
Dr. Vermenton completed his Pediatrics residency at Lincoln Hospital in the South Bronx, where he currently works as an attending physician, providing expert care in one of the city’s most dynamic healthcare environments. He earned his medical degree from the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) on a basketball athletic scholarship, and completed his clinical training at the General Hospital of the Dominican Armed Forces, where he later served in active duty.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Vermenton is known for his down-to-earth approach and warm rapport with families. A proud 80’s kid, he enjoys reading comic books, playing video games, and watching sci-fi movies in his free time. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and French making him an accessible and trusted physician to a diverse patient population.

Director of Business Operations
George Vermenton is the strategic force behind the business operations at Vermenton Pediatrics. A trilingual leader fluent in English, French, and Spanish, George brings a global perspective and refined cultural intelligence to the clinic’s day-to-day and long-term planning.
He holds an MBA from ESADE Business School, one of Europe’s most prestigious institutions, where he developed a robust foundation in management, operations, and innovation. At Vermenton Pediatrics, he oversees all facets of business operations—from financial strategy and systems optimization to patient experience and team development—ensuring the clinic continues to provide top-tier pediatric care while operating with agility and efficiency.
Outside of work, George is an avid soccer enthusiast, bringing the same passion, discipline, and team spirit from the field into his leadership role. His vision and commitment play a central role in advancing Vermenton Pediatrics’ mission to create a nurturing and trusted environment for families.

I was a PA student here rotating for my pediatrics rotation here, and I genuinely feel I could not have had a better, more fulfilling experience at any other site. I’m so grateful to have had my experience here, as Dr. Vermenton and Dr. Rodriguez both are phenomenal pediatricians that deliver the finest care to their patients. They both made sure that we, as students, always got all of the information accurately and would precisely diagnose the kids in a timely manner. And, they both are really invested in making sure the future generations of healthcare workers are well taught which is a real gift to have as a student. The staff too is so amazing at handling children, whether it be taking a blood draw in a painless manner or performing vitals on anxious kids. I learned so much from simply observing the way all of the staff would interact with children and put them at ease. I had the pleasure of completing my pediatric rotation at Vermenton Pediatrics, and it was an incredibly positive and educational experience. The providers (Dr. Rodriguez, Dr. Vermenton, and Dr. Jimenez) and staff (Alba, Ivonne, and Anod) created a welcoming environment where I felt supported as a PA student while being challenged to grow clinically. I had an appointment for my immigration physicals but I mistakenly went to their branch at gunhill , met this wonderful lady Chantel , she called the other branch at east Tremont. They immediately called me an uber, got there few minutes to their closing time,everything was done fast,the doctor, the nurses and George at the reception, they were all friendly.i happened to have had bad experience at other places but i was nicely welcomed here. These people have work ethics , welcoming environment, fast results in a week.keep up the good work.God bless you all .
When I gave birth in June 2023, I started searching on Google for a pediatrician and came across Vermenton Pediatrics. At the time, they were located a bit further away, but fortunately, they later moved even closer to me. Since bringing my baby here, the experience has been nothing short of amazing. The entire staff is attentive, caring, and always so welcoming. I truly feel my child is in great hands. Not a paid review lol Dr. Vermenton has done a great job with hiring his staff!
